The first ever Somerville Toy Camera Festival (STCF) held in collaboration with the Washington Street Art Center celebrates the quirky and creative results that happen when the photographer is forced to loosen his/her controls.
During August and September, the Nave Gallery, Nave Gallery Annex, and the Washington Street Art Center will each host an exhibition on toy camera photography. The Washington Street Arts Center kicks off the festival in August with the exhibition, Black, White & a Little Local Color. Pieces included were chosen by the 2013 STCF organizing committee. Isa Leshko juried the exhibitions at the Nave Gallery and Nave Annex.
