The Nave Gallery Annex in Davis Square seeks art exploring the geometry of the human form. The exhibition, “The Body In Lines” focuses on the linear expression of the nude—the use of lines to illustrate innate human qualities including but not limited to fragility, strength, and vulnerability.
Entries are being accepted in drawing, painting, and mixed media.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:
Please send up to three artwork submissions as .jpg files to info[at]navegallery[dot]org.
Each .jpg should be 1200 pixels in the long dimension and named as “#_NAME.jpg” where # is the submission number and NAME is your last name.
Please include an image list with your jpeg submission email, indicating submission number, title, size, process, and year; as well as a brief artist bio and statement.
There is a $15 submission fee, payable through Paypal or with check. Paypal is available here. Please include “Body in Lines” in the memo. Checks should be sent to: 53 Chester St, Somerville, MA 02144. You do not need to be a Somerville resident to apply.
Accepted pieces should be delivered to the Nave Gallery Annex located in Davis Square (53 Chester St, Somerville, MA) ready to install.
