WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Michelle Bates, author of Plastic Cameras: Toying with Creativity, will bring her extensive library of toy camera images, from the earliest days to the present, and her deep knowledge of the genre, to the Somerville Toy Camera Festival. See photographs made with Dianas, Holgas and other toys, with insight into the photographers’ techniques and subjects, by some of the pioneers of plastic and some of today’s best known photographers. Be inspired and expand your ideas about what toys can do!
The artist talk and book signing are free, and will be followed by the opening reception for the Nave Gallery STCF exhibition.
