PORCHFEST: Dirty Water Brass Band

WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Free and open to all; this year, our kind friends will be passing a hat around for donations to support the nonprofit artist-run Nave galleries. Many thanks in advance for your support.

Dirty Water Brass Band (DWBB), a HONK! Festival favorite, plays an eclectic mix of jazz, R&B, New Orleans, & more, creating an oftentimes raucous but then on occasion a subtle sound that could be defined as music from the bayou and beyond. Locally, Dirty Water has invaded the outdoor stages of HONK!, Central Square, Harvard Square, WUTE, and outlying neighborhoods, as well as indoor spaces such as the Lily Pad, Precinct, Cantab, Johnny D’s, Sally O’Brien’s, to name a few. DWBB is Mary Curtin (sax), Peter Goransson (sax), Sean Hamer (trumpet), Dave Lewin (trumpet), Tim Opperman (sousaphone), Jamie Pierce (sax), Jordan Rinchiera (trumpet), Gabe Rothman (trombone), Don Stevenson (drums), Mike Sugarman (trombone).
