Are you a biologist installationist? A quantum printmaker? Do you execute your mark making according to the Fibonacci sequence? The Nave Gallery Annex is pleased to announce a call for entries to Peer-Reviewed Submissions, a show of works with mathematical or scientific themes in all media. Academic rigor is not required.
GUIDELINES:
Open to all artists. Work in all media will be considered.
Entries should be no larger than 24″ x 24″.
There is a $15 entry fee payable through PayPal.
A maximum of 3 pieces may be entered for consideration.
Submissions will be accepted through October 4, 2013.
Sales are encouraged. The Nave Gallery will retain a 30% commission for work sold.
Artist is responsible for cost of shipping work to and from the gallery. Accepted pieces should be delivered to Nave Gallery Annex, ready to hang.
Local artists will be asked to help gallery sit.
Small 3D work to be displayed on pedestals may also be submitted.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:
Please send up to three artwork submissions as .jpg files to navesubmission[at]mindhuestudio[dot]com.
Each .jpg should be 1200 pixels in the long dimension and named as “#_NAME.jpg” where # is the submission number and NAME is your last name.
Include an image list with your jpeg submission email, indicating submission number, title, size, process and year, as well as a brief artist bio and statement.
There is a $15 submission fee, payable through Paypal or with check. Paypal is available here. Please include “Peer-Reviewed Submissions” in the memo. Checks should be sent to: Nave Gallery, 155 Powder House Blvd, Somerville, MA
Accepted pieces should be delivered to the Nave Gallery Annex located in Davis Square (53 Chester St, Somerville, MA) ready to install.
