Hurricane Recovery Fundraiser

Nave Gallery Annex (Davis Square), 53 Chester St, Somerville, MA

WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Join us at the Nave Annex for an afternoon of community, creativity and supporting hurricane recovery efforts.

Give funds:
$20 suggested donation. All funds raised go to All Hands Volunteers U.S. Hurricane Relief Fund

Make art:
Decorate your own prayer flag.

Send messages of support:
Completed prayer flags with messages of support for hurricane victims will be displayed at the gallery and can be photographed and shared.

Donate supplies:
Art supplies and instruments donated will be sent to Young Audiences of Houston, an arts learning non-profit.

Here is a list of arts supplies that Young Audiences of Houston is seeking to keep its art programs going in Houston Schools. Donations of these materials will be gratefully accepted at this event

Crayons
Colored pencils
Charcoal pencils
Air-dry clay
posterboard
oil pastels
drawing paper
black drawing paper
prismacolor blenders
watercolor paper
sharpies
baby wipes (for displaced schools that no longer have a sink in their art room)
aprons/smocks
masking tape
kid-size scissors
Glue sticks

Larger items include:
Plastic containers for storage
Drying racks
Large paper cutters
Digital cameras, tripods, and memory cards

Dig live music:
Local musicians will be performing in the galleries throughout the event.
