Painting Intricacies explores the visual language of detailed, meticulous painting. A painting can be masterful or abundant in ways that are expected or unexpected—through the details of the brush work, the details of the mark-making, or the details narrated within the painting.

ABOUT THE CURATOR:

Resa Blatman holds an MFA in painting from Boston University and a BFA in graphic design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Her paintings have been exhibited in museums, university galleries, and commercial galleries throughout New England. Her newest paintings and a wall installation are included in the current exhibit Seeing Glacial Time: Climate Change in the Arctic at Tufts University Art Gallery, which is now on view through May 18, 2014.
